The mask is inspired by Mama Quilla or Mamaquilla (from Quechua mama, meaning ‘mother’ and killa, meaning ‘moon’), a deity in Inca mythology and religion. She represented the third power and was worshipped as the lunar goddess. The mask combines elements of the Tua aesthetic, incorporating various materials and techniques in its design
