Miami Killing It! is an inspiration born out of a very special gift. One day, my mom sent me a box containing materials such as paints, stencils, pigments, and, among others, four brand new and clean denim jackets, just like a blank canvas to work on each of them with a free and very Dua Tua theme. So, I dedicated a specific inspiration to each one of them…
Out of the four created jackets, Miami Killing It! was born as a tribute to the city that changed mom’s (and my) life, seeking to portray its tropical streets, full of modern art and a cultural mix of Latin America and the USA. This led me to be inspired by that Miami Vice, with its neon colors, golden sunset painted on the jacket, and a great detail on the back: a pink flamingo woven in chaquirón and beads. Below the woven patch and painted silhouette, you can find a smaller matching detail.
